Description from the seller
**Sergio Romero — Visual Artist**
Sergio Romero (Spain, 1978) is a self-taught visual artist whose practice, since 2020, revolves around abstraction, symbolism and the exploration of perception. His work arises from an intuitive and experimental process in which gesture, color and geometry combine to build compositions of energetic and contemplative character.
One of the recurring elements of his visual language is the **golden ratio and the Fibonacci sequence**, used as structural compositional frameworks that allow him to organize space and establish relationships of balance between the different shapes and color fields. These geometries coexist with processes close to automatic writing, where the artist lets the very development of the work progressively determine its outcome.
His creative universe is influenced by meditation, perception, hermetic philosophy and personal research on concepts such as energy, vibration and consciousness. These references do not aim to represent a concrete reality, but to generate visual spaces open to the viewer’s interpretation.
Romero mainly works with **acrylic on canvas**, though he also incorporates mixed media and different materials that allow him to explore transparencies, layers, textures and chromatic contrasts. His works are characterized by a combination of structure and spontaneity: a geometric base that dialogues with free gestures and intuitive decisions.
Since the beginning of his career he has developed a constant production and has participated in exhibitions and artistic projects both nationally and internationally. His work has been present on platforms and spaces related to the contemporary art market, including **Catawiki**, as well as various galleries, fairs and exhibitions in cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, Venice, Berlin, Zurich, Paris, Athens, Palma and Dubai.
His artistic production is especially linked to collecting contemporary art and to the creation of unique pieces in which each composition represents an independent investigation into color, form, balance and perception.
He continues to develop his artistic practice from Spain today, expanding his abstract series and exploring new possibilities between geometry, material, gesture and symbolism.
