Fantastic opportunity for collectors and lovers of fine salon objects: an exceptional lot bringing together two high-end traditional French game cases, edited by the great houses of the 20th century.

1. MASTERPIECE PIECE: Double Bridge Game Box "Sélection" – SMIR Edition (c. 1970-1980)
• Materials and features: Magnificent natural mahogany coffee table box with a warm wood tone. Box dimensions: 16 cm x 11.5 cm | Height: 5 cm. Total filled weight: 425 g. The interior features two compartments lined with elegant green velvet. It is equipped with an original brass security clasp bearing the German patent stamp “Ges. Gesch.” (Registered design).

• Exceptional contents: Two complete decks of 55 special Bridge and Canasta cards signed Grimaud Paris – Made in France. The cards are absolutely new, never unboxed and still sealed in their original cellophane. The backs feature rich artistic motifs of fountains and vegetal arabesques, available in two complementary color variants (one red-dominated deck and one green-dominated deck). The original SMIR cardboard cases are included.
• Condition: The wooden box is beautifully preserved with clean surfaces. True to its age and vintage authenticity, the interior velvet shows a very slight and charming natural sunning (softened color with time) and the wood displays a discreet wear patina that testifies to its history without compromising its superb presentation.

2. Luxe Tarot Box – Baptiste Paul Grimaud House (c. 1990-2000)
• Features: Beautiful square format box (15 x 15 x 5 cm) made of thick rigid cardboard, featuring an elegant blue-black night sky textured leather-embossed effect. The outer lid and inner section are adorned with impeccably original gold heraldic lettering and crests. Historically French-made at the Saint-Max (Lorraine) workshops.

• Contents: Complete 78-card Tarot deck (11.5 x 6 cm). Backs adorned with intertwined gold and blue motifs. The cards feature original silver edges and famous gilded metal corners (“4 corners marked”) in perfect condition. The deck includes its 58 original plastic mark tokens (diameter 2.7 cm) screen-printed with the value "10" (14 gold, 14 silver, 16 red, and 14 blue). Total weight of this filled box: 368 g.
• Condition: The entire Tarot set is in remarkable cosmetic condition. The cards and their gilding are extremely clean, having been used only once. The box structure shows a tiny, light patina of handling on its edges, quite normal for a collection from this era.
