This vibrant original artwork by Joan Vizcarra brings together Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy as The Three Musketeers, inspired by the legendary adventure created by Alexandre Dumas.
The three characters appear proudly dressed in their musketeer uniforms, complete with feathered hats, swords and the unmistakable blue tunics. Donald looks characteristically suspicious, Mickey takes the determined central role, and Goofy towers above them with his familiar carefree expression. Their contrasting personalities give the composition the feeling of an adventure about to begin.
Created in gouache, the piece is conceived almost like a vintage illustrated book cover. The warm ochre background, prominent hand-drawn The Three Musketeers - Alexandre Dumas lettering and rich blues, reds and browns give the artwork a distinctive classic appearance. Visible brushstrokes and drawing lines preserve the immediacy and character of the original handmade piece.
The generous 50 x 35 cm format and the presence of three iconic characters create a particularly rich and visually commanding composition.
