Scuola europea (XX), Firmato J. Jamars - Grande Marina con Velieri in Combattimento XL

An important painting depicting a marine scene with sailing ships, set in rough seas and characterized by the presence of two large vessels, one of which appears to be involved in a combat or a moment of great difficulty.

The composition is particularly dynamic: the sails unfurled, the sea rough, the smoke and the cloudy sky create a dramatic and spectacular atmosphere, typical of 19th-century marine painting.

The painting features a warm, textured palette, with particular attention to the rendering of the sails, the vessels and the movements of the water.
