For sale a splendid and distinctive vintage art sculpture depicting a Schnauzer/Terrier dog in a crouching pose. The work stands out for its extraordinary expressiveness and the richness of the sculptural details of the muzzle, the gaze, and the characteristic coat of the breed.
The piece is made with a refined period artisanal technique: the inner core is terracotta, entirely coated with a thick metallic layer of copper through galvanoplasty. This process gives the sculpture the weight and the beautiful patina typical of ancient bronzes, while keeping the ceramic core inside.
