Lot consisting of three traditional French beard plater s in faience, decorated and hand-painted.
Decorative pieces typical of regional faience potteries, formerly used for shaving.
1. Beard platter – Faïencerie de Charolles (FCHA) – circa 1920–1940
Decor: bird / rooster, floral basket.
Bright red/green colors typical of Charolles.
Handwritten mark « FCHA » on the reverse.
Very good overall condition. 32/27/8.5 cm
2. Beard platter – Atelier régional (Fd) – circa 1930–1960
Blue floral decor, Centre / Southwest style.
Handwritten mark « Fd ».
Faïence artisanal.
Good condition, light signs of use. 27/21/7 cm
3. Beard platter – Faïencerie de Pornic – Hand painted – France – circa 1950–1970
Figurative scene: people outdoors.
Typical Pornic decor.
