Elegant pair of antique bronze urn-shaped garnitures from France, each about 27 cm high, 15 cm wide, 12 cm deep, weighing around 2 kg in total, dating to 1800–1850 with age patina and minor wear."
Description from the seller
Elegant pair of antique decorative fittings in the shape of covered urns, richly adorned with leafy motifs and bas-relief details.
Each piece features a lid surmounted by a flame-shaped finial, an urn body decorated with acanthus leaves, and an especially worked architectural base. The base is animated by rocaille scrolls, foliate motifs, and a central oval medallion.
The ensemble reflects a decorative taste inspired by the Louis XV / Rocaille style, with execution characteristic of decorative productions from the late 19th or early 20th century.
These elements can be used as fireplace fittings, console ornaments, architectural decorative elements, or interior decor accessories. Their size and perfect symmetry make them a particularly decorative pair.
Era: late 19th – early 20th century
Style: Louis XV / Rocaille
Material: gilded/patinated metal, probably metal alloy or bronze — to be confirmed
Height: 27 cm
Width: about 15 cm
Weight: about 1 kg per piece
Condition: good overall condition with antique patina and the normal signs of age-related wear.
