With Allegorical Frontispiece and Four artistic Plates containing the signed engravings, with the images for the presentation of the Roman Emperors:

- Julius Caesar
- Octavian
- Tiberius
- Caligula

Rare old edition presented in THREE complete and descriptive indices concerning the history of Rome, the life and heroic and mythological feats of the Emperors, in the wars with the history of the armies. Four works written in a single volume by the Author.

The indices in this Work were prepared to complete a historical narrative richly illustrated with indications that include the deeds of the armies of the Roman Empire.

In Latin and in French, with annotations signed in verse as the commentaries and references on the feats narrated in the illustrated text. Leather binding contemporary, on the spine are the special decorations hot-stamped in gold; in the cartouche the Title and the Volume Number of the presented Tome are inscribed.

Signs of wear for the time and for reading, as well as preservation, some traces of worm on the central plates of the text, which, due to the minimal and non-invasive measure for reading, are therefore observable as positioned on the lower and outer part of the pages. Mild yellowing due to the particular paper of the era, with a visible defect at the upper tail of the spine. Signs of the passage of time visible externally on the boards, the corners appear worn but overall the binding is excellent in integrity, as the plates appear complete and intact. Red edges.

The writing for the volume was printed in Latin on the inner columns of the Plates, while the excellent French translation is legible on the outer side of the page. Many annotations signed in Latin with historical descriptions, the indications with anthology references have been historically illustrated in Greek.

( The figures contained in the uploaded images are available as a supplement to the description, upon courteous observation ).
