Description from the seller

- Title of the work: DIOR " AMOUR SANS FRONTIERES "
COLLECTION ( LEGO STREET ARTWORK )

- Presentation of the work:
DIOR "AMOUR SANS FRONTIERES" is an urban, poetic and pop artwork evoking the universality of love and the meeting of peoples. love without borders regardless of language, culture or origin, the feeling is the same " TO LOVE " !
I love you, Te amo, Ti amo, Ich liebe dich and many other languages intertwine, like tags on a wall. Different writings, spontaneous messages and graphic signs overlap to create a heart graffiti, with no rule or border.
The Lego character becomes a true street artist, as if he had just left his mark on this wall full of declarations and his spray paint traces the final stroke in red, forming a heart.
A raw, colorful and quirky creation, mixing Street Art codes with the luxury universe to convey a simple message

BIOGRAPHY of the ARTIST
Lyssandre Saint York,
Designer and artist born in the 1970s.
My artistic work sits at the crossroads of two worlds that fascinate me: the raw energy of street art and the visual efficiency of pop art.

I grew up during the rise of the “seventies” style and Space Age design, a breaking era where furniture rejected pre-war sobriety to dare organic shapes, plastic and vibrant colors.
Raised by this bold aesthetic, I naturally first traced my path in design and fashion, conceiving and selling concepts around the world for over 30 years up to today.

This mastery of structure and visual impact later unfolds in my artistic creations. My journey as an artist began with toys, composing my first works in Lego bricks under a frame. This artistic approach allowed me to revisit iconic pop culture icons. From Star Wars heroes to essential figures like Mario Bros, Mickey or the emblematic Scrooge McDuck, by mixing luxury brand symbols with these Lego characters, iconic of an entire generation!
I have always enjoyed taking ownership of these symbols to give them a new dimension.

This work naturally extended to creating sculptures with the rebel graffiti environment of Banksy, or iconic Art Toy characters.
By deflecting these sculptures and these iconic figures, I play on contrasts to question our desires and our consumer society.

This conceptual rigor dialogues with the absolute freedom of urban culture.
Marker, spray, stencil, paint, drips and textured overlays, but also with techniques other than those I marry to the chromatic power of pop art.

My works have thus become a visual collision where the anticonformist design of the 70s and luxury meet the subversive spontaneity of the street.
By juxtaposing and reinventing these collective and cult icons in a graphic and instinctive aesthetic, I offer a reading that is nostalgic, multi-layered, impactful and resolutely contemporary, with societal topics and minimalist conceptual illustration.

From Paris to New York, via Taiwan or even Australia, my works travel around the world thanks to you, and I thank you for it.
