Description from the seller

Iconic and exclusive, the Eberhard Scafograf 300, the first series model from 1964, the model that among enthusiasts is nicknamed “the Right One.” It’s an icon, a true one—today the word “iconic” is overused, but in this case this watch absolutely is, an indispensable piece in a high-level collection, with that vintage flavor, with original patinas and the characteristic hands, plus the rotating bezel with the representative red arrow, and the indices with the famous large triangles.

I know not many words are needed; experts and connoisseurs know this watch very well, and they also know its market value (between about 8,500 and 15,000).

As I said, an iconic piece, perhaps among Eberhard watches the icon in the sense of the expression.

42 mm excluding the crown; in my view perhaps a bit more.

It is a diver’s watch from its era; the first series of the Scafograf 300 was made in 1964, and for this reason finding an equivalent in excellent condition is practically impossible.

Some sources claim it was produced in 300 examples, just as the first series of the 100 was made in 100 examples and likewise for the Scafograf 200 first series.

The dial is fully legible and shows few signs and patinas of use, practically in excellent condition; the marks are almost entirely on the bezel and the glass.

The marks on the bezel are noticeable and on the glass just as well.

The crystal is domed and has just been replaced.

Regarding the bezel, I would advise against reproducing it, as, as a collectible and as an object, it is splendid as is with its patina, but for whoever wants, reproducing the bezel would cost a very small amount (max 80 euros).

The bezel is a bit stiff (it will definitely need cleaning) but it rotates.

As for the functioning, the watch runs very well, starts up immediately and keeps running for several minutes away from the wrist with only a light initial wobble.

As I haven’t tested it long-term, I recommend a preventive cleaning and lubrication.

I do not recommend immersion before performing the water-resistance test; it is anyway a watch over 60 years old.

Steel bracelet marked I & S, the only non-original part I think.

Original crown with logo.

I am always evaluating whether to offer items even if the reserve is not reached, always, however, staying within certain limits.
