Two Art Deco service trays in wood with a glass-inset under glass, signed Germonde & Dope in France and dating from circa 1930–1940, with Tray 1 measuring 54.5 × 33 cm and 6.5 cm high (2 kg) and Tray 2 measuring 58.5 × 36.5 cm and 6.5 cm high (2.4 kg, both in good condition with age-related wear).

Pair of Art Deco / Vintage Serving Trays — Signed Germonde & Dope — Set Under Glass — France, c. 1930-1950
- Superb homogeneous lot consisting of two vintage wooden serving trays from the first half of the 20th century, featuring the famous technique of reverse painting under glass (paintings done on the back of the glass). This lot brings together the two most emblematic and sought-after French workshops of the era.
• Tray 1 — Signed Germonde (Art Deco, circa 1930/1940):
Magnificent woodland lakeside scene finely hand-painted under glass, characteristic of Germonde’s clean, poetic style.
Robust solid wood frame with two elegant integrated side handles.
Signature clearly visible within the decor.
Tray 2 — Signed Dope (Vintage Period, circa 1940/1950):
Graphic autumn landscape with warm tones typical of the Dope house.
Beautiful technical execution with deep contrasts under the vitrified glass.
Wooden frame with a warm patina and shaped handles. Signature placed in the corner of the work.
