AI-assisted summary
Description from the seller
Autumn melancholy.
Some solitudes are so dense that not even the golden warmth of an autumn afternoon can penetrate them.
High-quality oil paints were used on Italian Pintura canvas or on artisanal canvas sourced from fine-art manufacturers. Painted with a semi-gloss clear varnish to protect it from time and UV rays.
This painting was created on a pre-stretched canvas mounted on a wooden frame. It is carefully packed in a wooden crate with layers of bubble wrap for maximum protection. The work is initialed on the front and signed and dated on the back, and is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
Seller's Story
Welcome to my gallery.
I was born in Puglia, between the light and the sea of Salento, landscapes that nourished my sensitivity since childhood. My passion for painting has been forged through rigorous self-taught study, a physical dialogue with the medium that led me to choose oil as my primary language. It is a soft, luminous, patient technique; it taught me the balance between the instinct of the first brushstroke and slow reflection, until the artwork itself speaks to me and tells me when to stop.
If, at one time, my starting point was a figurative art anchored in reality, since then my vision has evolved into a metamorphosis.
The roots of classical figurative art evolve into the freedom of the symbol, where the unconscious surfaces on the canvas. My artistic evolution has been a gradual shift from the aesthetics of form to the aesthetics of feeling. If once my goal was fidelity to reality, today it is fidelity to emotion. In my current works, technique blends with dreamlike atmospheres, giving life to subjects that inhabit a suspended time, in constant balance between the solidity of the past and the vertigo of the surreal.
My unwavering fascination with the female figure – a mysterious, gentle, and sometimes scandalous creature – remains the beating heart of my work, though it has now shifted toward deeper and more surreal territories.
The women I paint no longer belong exclusively to the present or the past; they inhabit a threshold where the body becomes a symbol and the everyday becomes an enigma beyond time and space. Each work is a hymn to the feminine spirit, understood as a multiform universe oscillating between reality and dream.
