Description from the seller
RETRATO #152
Series: Las 1000 Caras
Technique: Acrylic on canvas
Year: 2026
Original and unique work
In this portrait I explore the human expression through an elongated face, built with geometric planes and black lines. The triangular shape of the face and the elongation of the neck give the figure a stylized presence, while the narrowed gaze introduces a sense of calm and introspection.
I have combined olive greens, golden yellow, orange, and cream on a light gray background. Warm tones are concentrated on the nose, the ear, and part of the neck, and dialogue with the greens of the hair and the left side of the face. Each color area participates in the construction of the figure.
Asymmetry is essential in this work. The eyes appear at different heights, the nose occupies a dominant position, and the small tilted mouth adds a restrained gesture. I am interested in these differences allowing each viewer to find their own expression, open to interpretation.
Portrait #152 is part of my series “The 1000 Faces,” a project of a thousand original and numbered faces. Each painting has a particular combination of shapes, colors and gestures, within a common visual language.
The work is shipped rolled and protected in a tube suitable for transportation. The work is delivered unframed.

ARTISTIC SERIES: THE 1000 FACES
“The 1000 Faces” is my exploration of identity through portraiture. My purpose is to create a thousand different works, in which each face preserves its individuality and, at the same time, is part of a recognizable collection.
I work with geometric fragmentation, defined lines and fields of color to build expressions. I do not seek to describe only an appearance: I am interested in suggesting moods and different ways of being present.
The division of faces into several planes represents for me the multiple facets of a person. The same figure can convey serenity, distance, or vulnerability depending on the relationship between its shapes and the gaze of the observer.
In portrait #152, that search is manifested in verticality, pronounced angles and the balance between greens and warm tones. Its measured expression brings a new presence to the series.
