Raphaël Monnet’s original unique abstract acrylic painting on cotton canvas titled 'RAINY SAHARA DAY - XXL', created in 2026, measuring 140 cm high by 100 cm wide, signed on the front with a signed certificate of authenticity included, sold directly by the artist and shipped rolled from France.
Description from the seller
Unique and original work hand-painted by Raphaël Monnet.
Raphaël Monnet develops contemporary abstract painting in which color becomes material, rhythm, and movement.
He approaches the canvas as a space for experimentation. The painting is projected, built up, and confronted with opposite colors. The impacts cross paths; some areas densify while others allow the background to breathe.
His process does not rely on a pre-planned image, but on a progressive construction. Each intervention leads to the next until an equilibrium appears between apparent disorder and pictorial organization.
Based at the Léo Varek studio in France, Raphaël Monnet continues his research around the projection and superposition of colors. His works possess an immediate presence from a distance and reveal, when approached, a multitude of details, nuances, and unexpected encounters between pigments.
Each canvas results from a unique process. The trajectory of the projections, the distribution of matter, and the interactions between colors can never be reproduced identically.

Format and presentation
The indicated dimensions correspond to the total size of the canvas. A portion painted around the periphery is intended to be folded over the sides of the stretcher, without encroaching on the main composition.
Some images show the work in situ to facilitate its projection into an interior. They are created with the ArtStage staging software which makes AI mockups. Proportions may slightly vary depending on the staging. Please refer to the dimensions indicated in the description to know the real size of the work.
The edges are partially painted and allow a clean finish after mounting.
Shipping
The work is shipped rolled in a rigid protective packaging, without a frame.
Light creases may appear on arrival. This is perfectly normal for a rolled canvas. These marks disappear naturally when the canvas is stretched.
For optimal results, it is recommended to have the canvas mounted on a frame by a local framer.
Shipments are made by express carrier — DHL, FedEx or equivalent — with careful tracking until delivery.
Some destinations may incur additional shipping costs beyond my control. In that case, the buyer will be informed before shipment to adjust the charges if necessary. Shipping cannot proceed without confirmation of these charges.
Additional information
Colors may vary slightly depending on screen settings and shooting conditions.
Frame and stretcher not included.
