Description from the seller
Original, unique work painted by hand by Raphaël Monnet
Raphaël Monnet develops contemporary abstract painting in which color becomes matter, rhythm and movement.
He approaches the canvas as a space of experimentation. The painting is projected, accumulated and confronted with opposing colors. The impacts cross, some areas densify while others let the background breathe.
His process does not rely on a pre-planned image, but on a progressive construction. Each intervention leads to the next until an balance appears between apparent disorder and pictorial organization.
Based within the Léo Varek studio in France, Raphaël Monnet continues his research around projection and color superposition. His works possess an immediate presence from a distance and reveal, when you approach, a multitude of details, nuances and unexpected encounters between pigments.
Each canvas results from a unique process. The trajectory of projections, the distribution of matter and the interactions between colors can never be reproduced identically.

Format and presentation
The indicated dimensions correspond to the total size of the canvas. A painted peripheral area is intended to be folded over the sides of the frame, without encroaching on the main composition.
Some images show the work in situ to facilitate projection into an interior. They are produced using the ArtStage visualization software which creates AI mockups. Proportions may slightly vary depending on the staging. Please refer to the dimensions indicated in the description to know the actual size of the work.
The edges are partially painted and allow for a clean finish after mounting.
Shipping
The work is shipped rolled in a rigid protective packaging, without stretcher or frame.
Slight creases may appear on receipt. This is perfectly normal for a canvas shipped rolled. These marks naturally disappear when the canvas is stretched.
For optimal results, it is recommended to have the canvas mounted on a frame by a local framer.
Shipments are carried out by express carrier — DHL, FedEx or equivalent — with careful tracking until delivery.
Some destinations may incur additional shipping fees beyond my control. In that case, the buyer will be informed before shipment to adjust the fees if necessary. Without confirmation of these fees, the shipment cannot be made.
Additional information
Colors may vary slightly depending on screen settings and shooting conditions.
Frame and stretcher not included.
