This monumental collectible edition was printed in Geneva by the prestigious typographer Jean Le Preux (Ioannes le Preux), a key figure in the European Renaissance printing tradition.
The work is particularly noteworthy for including the scholarly annotations, commentaries, and corrections of the renowned theologian Jacques Pamèle (Iacobus Pamelius), who meticulously reviewed and compared the texts for this edition against the oldest ecclesiastical manuscripts available at the time.
