Description from the seller
--- History of the Work ---
The Garden Within – Blue Porcelain Reverie explores the encounter between the feminine figure, blue-and-white porcelain, and traditional Asian landscape.
Seen from behind in a calm, meditative posture, the woman becomes the very support of an imaginary landscape. Her clothing and body seem sculpted in porcelain delicately decorated with cobalt motifs.
At the center of the composition, the back visually opens onto a true inner garden: misty mountains, trees, a pavilion, a bridge, water and vegetation follow one another in a careful construction reminiscent of the settings of ancient Asian porcelains.
The boundary between the character and the landscape gradually disappears. The woman no longer contemplates the garden: she becomes the garden.
This fusion gives full meaning to the title The Garden Within — “the inner garden” — and invites a more introspective reading of the work. The landscape can then be perceived as the representation of an intimate space, a memory, or an inner refuge inaccessible to the outside gaze.
The palette almost exclusively composed of cobalt blue and white reinforces the porcelain impression and brings great brightness to the composition. The sculptural hairstyle and the long pearl strands introduce a contemporary touch that contrasts with the traditional refinement of the décor.
A work that is at once graphic, contemplative, and decorative, representative of the PorcelainMuse universe, where the human body and porcelain become the territories of a single imagination.

---About PorcelainMuse---
PorcelainMuse was born from a fascination with the fragile beauty of Asian porcelain and the stories that objects traveling through time can tell.
Cobalt blue, porcelain white, floral motifs, female figures, warriors, Asian landscapes, and cracks inspired by Kintsugi progressively form the visual language of the collection.
In this universe, porcelain goes beyond its decorative function. It becomes a metaphor for the human being: precious yet fragile, liable to fissure, yet capable of retaining its beauty despite the traces of time.
Each creation thus seeks to establish a dialogue between the aesthetic heritage of Chinese porcelain and a contemporary artistic expression. Traditional motifs are reinterpreted in current compositions where characters, flowers, materials, and symbols tell a new story.
Behind every PorcelainMuse face lie universal themes: memory, femininity, strength, transmission, fragility, and reconstruction.
PorcelainMuse’s ambition is to create works that one does not choose solely for their aesthetics, but for the emotion and the story to which they connect us.
---Commitment to the Collector---
Each work receives special care before shipment and is prepared with care to ensure protection during transport.
Collector satisfaction is an essential commitment of PorcelainMuse. Any questions regarding the work, its edition, its certificate, or its receipt are carefully followed up.
This creation belongs to a limited edition of only 25 copies, in order to preserve the confidential nature of the collection.
