Centerpiece in alloy with a silvered finish, dating from the estimated period 19700, with a 23 cm diameter, 12 cm height, and of French origin in good condition with age-related wear.
Description from the seller
Very beautiful antique centerpiece bowl dating presumably from the second half of the 19th century, Napoleon III / neo-Rococo.
A particularly decorative piece with a rich, fully worked ornament: pierced border with scrolls, shells and foliage, floral and fruit motifs, radiating gadroons and an elegant central medallion depicting an angel/putto in a vegetal setting.
The bowl rests on a tripod foot in the shape of large acanthus leaves, itself very finely adorned.
Beautiful patina of age with wear to the silver finish revealing warmer tones, as well as a few traces of greenish patina, which enhance its antique character.
Diameter: 23 cm
Height: 12 cm
Weight: 1.595 kg
Old condition with patina and signs of use consistent with its age.
Material: antique metal alloy with a silvery finish, probably brass/spelter cast.
A very pretty 19th-century decorative piece, particularly rich and original in its putti ornament and its very fine openwork.
