Description from the seller

A lively Old Dutch winter scene. Centered on the frozen waterway are several figures, including skaters and workers by moored wooden boats. On the right bank a bare winter tree and snow-covered stepped-gable houses adorn the village view. In the background a characteristic Dutch windmill is visible under a cloudy Dutch sky.

Equipped with a wide, monumental wooden Baroque frame with detailed carving, silver- and gold-colored accents and a classical moulding edge.

Canvas size: 60 cm length by 50 cm width
Frame size: 87 cm length by 77 cm width

Excellent condition with the original frame! Ready to hang!

Warm regards,

Seller's Story

My name is Reinoud Sprong, 25 years old and living in Amsterdam, Netherlands. From a family of three brothers and two entrepreneurial parents, I developed a passion for art and antiques at a young age. I attended the premier art fairs and visited museums. I also started early reading about art that particularly interested me. That led to pursuing a Bachelor’s in History at Utrecht University, followed by a Master’s in Art, Market and Connoisseurship at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, which crowned my academic focus in art. Since my youth I have had a fondness for trade and entrepreneurship. From running my own disco, catering, and various side ventures, it was time for the real trade: Art and Antiques! Thanks to my early interests I was able to undertake many different exploratory internships and gain field experience. After a half-year internship as a junior expert in classical art at the fastest-growing European online auction house Catawiki, I was sure: Reinoud would build his own official art dealership. I began with purchases at auctions, online marketplaces, and visits to markets. The first storage space is in my grandmother’s garage, and that is how the adventure began. Now, a bit further along, I’m quite proud of how far we’ve come in a short time. We have customers worldwide and are growing slowly. By active engagement on social media, we try through our videos to enthuse the younger generation for art and antiques. Currently we operate from a small storage area that is almost always full. Customers are very welcome here by appointment! In the future we hope to offer a larger collection of furniture and fine art. My goal is to open a large showroom in a characterful building, where we can welcome all customers. - Follow Art_Leap_Curation on Instagram!
