A famous illustrated travel narrative devoted to the discovery of Sicily and Malta, including notably valuable topographical, geographical and historical details of the time.
The copy contains the map of the Kingdom of Naples and Sicily drawn by S. Robert de Vaugondy (Geographer to the King) dated 1776.
Elegant period binding, half-calf with corners, smooth spine adorned with gold fillets and morocco title pieces bearing the inscription “VOYAGE EN SICILE,” boards covered with green marbled paper. Fine overall condition. Front matter pages clean and fresh, enriched with the region’s folding geographical maps.
