Neapolitan landscape, a 19th‑century oil painting from France, attributed to the circle of Jean‑Baptiste‑Camille Corot, and sold with frame.

Wonderful Camille Corot Follower 19th Century Italian Landscape
Beautiful oil on panel circle of the great Italian School artist Jean-Baptiste-Camille Corot.
It depicts, in his typical style, a suggestive view of the surroundings of Naples with figures in the foreground and Vesuvius in the background.
Looking at this small masterpiece, one seems to hear the words of the artist himself:
"This sun gives off a light that makes me despair. It makes me feel the utter powerlessness of my palette."
In the original frame now lost, there was a label with the words "Ecole Corot" as per the last attached photo.
This artwork, comes from an important French private collection.
This painting, upon request, is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity issued by an official Expert for the Chamber of Commerce of Rome and for the Rome Civil Courts.
On the back of the painting there is an old label and some unidentified writing

Jean-Baptiste-Camille Corot (16 July 1796– 22 February 1875), or simply Camille Corot, was a French landscape and portrait painter as well as a printmaker in etching.
A pivotal figure in landscape painting, his vast output simultaneously referenced the Neo-Classical tradition and anticipated the plein-air innovations of Impressionism.
