Description from the seller
The work depicts iconic creatures including Pikachu, Charizard, Mew and Clefairy together with classic portable video game elements, a Pokédex and a Poké Ball, coming to life and rising three-dimensionally above consoles and cartridges. The dynamic composition shows the figures emerging forcefully from the stone matter, surrounded by a finely stratified and fractured marble surface. The restrained gesture of the creatures and the harmony of the elements recreate an eternal condition of nostalgia and youthful energy, indissolubly merging the subjects with the stone background.
The precious golden veins that streak across the sculptural surface and the frame explicitly evoke the practice of Kintsugi, emphasizing the value of cracks to symbolize the beauty of memory, resilience, and the reassembly of childhood memories tied to collecting. It should be specified that the work is not a real marble bas-relief or physical sculpture, but rather the visual effect of a 2D canvas designed to offer an optical illusion of exceptional depth and material thickness.
A conceptual collectible artwork where videogame imagery and pop culture meet the rigor of classical sculpture and the philosophy of imperfection.

Seller's Story
Makayhos is a contemporary visual artist working between relief, mixed media, and fine art canvas.
His work explores the idea of time, erosion, and permanence, transforming iconic imagery into sculptural surfaces that appear carved, fractured, and fossilized.
Each artwork is conceived as a unique piece, where matter plays a central role and the image emerges from the surface rather than being placed upon it.
Makayhos’ approach moves away from traditional illustration, focusing instead on texture, depth, and a sense of suspended time.
All artworks are carefully produced, documented, and shipped with professional packaging.
