Émilie Pannier, a contemporary French painter, has for several years been developing a distinctive body of work at the crossroads of genre painting, the urban landscape, and social observation.
In the lineage of Genre Scenes, she explores themes related to urban life, the street, its anonymity, and daily life.
Mia proceeds by series and thus builds a repertoire of images that bear witness to our time, in search of a sublimation of the anecdotal and the moment.
It is through a precise handling of color and light that the pictorial comes into play.
