Piotr Wrona, Martwa natura, an original acrylic on linen canvas in a 90 × 90 cm format, signed, in perfect condition, created in 2026, weight 2 kg, from Poland.
Description from the seller
Author: Piotr Wrona
Title: Still Life
Technique: acrylic paints on a linen canvas
Format: 90 × 90 cm
Support: high-quality linen canvas stretched on a solid painter's frame with a profile of 3 × 5 cm
Description of the painting:
The composition presents a colorful, expressive still life in which plant motifs and fruits are depicted in a decorative, highly stylized form. The central part of the painting is occupied by a composition of exotic leaves with varied shapes and intense colors. Among them are characteristic leaves of monstera, ficus, and other plants with strongly emphasized, contrasting veins.
In the lower part of the painting, fruits – apples, lemons, and other rounded forms – are set against a decorative, multicolored vessel. The fruits are rendered in a simplified, almost geometric way, with clearly marked highlights. The composition is complemented by fragments of patterned fabrics and geometric decorative elements that give the whole rhythm and additional dynamism.
The background is created by overlapping intense planes of purple, blue, turquoise, orange, red, and yellow. Strong color contrasts and distinct dark outlines give the depiction its characteristic expressive appearance. The individual elements are not depicted realistically – they have been consciously simplified and distorted, giving the composition a more painterly and decorative character.
Visible paint texture, brush marks, and the variety of directions in which color blobs are laid emphasize the handcrafted nature of the work. The painting combines inspiration from a classical still life motif with a modern, expressive approach to color and form, creating a dynamic composition with a pronounced, contemporary character.
