Description from the seller
Very special and beautiful KLM Delft Blue model of the Royal Palace on Dam Square in Amsterdam.
This is a special KLM edition that was distributed from 1986 onward to newlywed couples who began their honeymoon with KLM Royal Class. It was therefore a very special wedding gift from KLM and not part of the regular numbered series of KLM houses.
The model depicts the well-known Royal Palace on the Dam and is executed in great detail. The characteristic building is recognizable by the many windows, the broad roof and the central tower with dome.
On the back reads:
KLM
“Royal Palace”
“Amsterdam”
On the bottom reads:
“Blue Delft's exclusively made for KLM by BOLS Royal Distilleries Holland”
The model was specially manufactured for KLM by Bols Royal Distilleries Holland.
Several variants are known of this special Palace edition. This specimen is the version with the hexagonal tower and the aforementioned KLM/Bols marking.
