- Manuscript supplement under the main title, also in Dabit's handwriting: “or the Île-de-France...”.
CONDITION OF THE BOOK:
Good general condition for an old paperback (1935). Covers well preserved. Small usual detachment of the cover paper at the spine, without loss. Healthy paper, interior fresh, copy preserved with its original margins untrimmed. Sold preserved under its protective transparent dust jacket.
HISTORICAL CONTEXT:
Close to the great authors of his time, Eugène Dabit dies suddenly in the USSR in 1936 at age 38 (event that will prompt Céline to dedicate his work "Bagatelles pour un massacre").
Sold protected under its period crystal-paper with flaps (carrying a “Envoi” label on the flap).
