British musician, singer, songwriter, composer, bassist, actor, author and activist.
Sting was born in Wallsend, Tyne and Wear, North East England on 2 October 1951, before moving to London in 1977 to form The Police with Stewart Copeland and Andy Summers. The band released five studio albums, earned six Grammy Awards and two Brits, and was inducted into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2003.
The nickname Sting is from his time playing with a Dixieland jazz group in Newcastle called The Phoenix Jazzmen. He used to wear a jumper with black and yellow hoops which the trombone player said made him look like a wasp. He was christened Sting and the name stuck. He now uses Sting almost exclusively, except on official documents. In a press conference, he once jokingly stated that even his children call him Sting.
Seller's Story
My name is Hans Kesteloo and I finally decided to sell my ‘remaining’ collection of 45’s, LP’s, CD’s, DVD’s, laserdiscs and other odd things after more than 60 years of ‘hardcore’ collecting. I purchased my first 45 in 1965, and this was the beginning of an enjoyable, long-time hobby – a real-time “collector’s career”. Now time has come to pass the baton !
When you like to see all my current active sale offers, then click on my name 'Klemtoon' in any lot / auction.
Please note: Since I'm a one man show and aged, I can only send on mondays and thursdays.
Returns: In case you like to return an item:
I will refund the postage cost of shipping the item(s) to buyer.
Buyer pays for the cost of returning that item(s)

vg+ = slight traces of use / visible traces inaudible (Goldmine grading: VG+)
