Set of 2 French tricolor flags – Liberation era (1944-1945).

Cotton, with wooden poles. A Lorraine Cross and the 'V' for Victory were painted on each flag. Dimensions: 80 × 60 cm.

This type of flag was flown in windows, on Resistance vehicles, and on public buildings during the Liberation in 1944.

One of the wooden poles bears a label indicating its origin: “Grande Épicerie Villefranche ARIÈGE.” The iron tips are marked “RF” (French Republic).

En coton, avec hampes en bois. Une croix de Lorraine et le « V » de la Victoire ont été peints sur chaque drapeau. Dimensions : 80 × 60 cm.

Ce type de drapeau était arboré aux fenêtres, sur les véhicules de la Résistance et sur les bâtiments publics lors de la Libération en 1944.

L'une des hampes en bois porte une étiquette indiquant sa provenance : « Grande Épicerie Villefranche ARIÈGE ». Les pointes en fer sont marquées « RF » (République française).
