Paco Requena - XXL-Mi otra mirada

Unique work directly from the artist's studio, made in acrylic on canvas with charcoal details. Entirely handmade, signed on the back. Painted originally on a stretcher and later dismantled for shipment. It is varnished to guarantee its conservation.

Given the size of the work, to ensure proper transport, it is sent unstretched, rolled and protected in a box or tube. It must be mounted at destination on a suitable frame to fit the piece (130 x 97 cm).

The work has a 2-centimeter black-painted edge that is not part of the artwork. It also has an extra fabric margin of about 4 cm on each side.

Some images are edited and may give a misleading idea of the artwork’s dimensions. Size verification is recommended. Realistic interior and exterior images of the piece are added at the end. Some colors may vary slightly depending on the lighting of the photograph and the device used to view the artwork.

Paco Requena is a Spanish abstract painter who lives and works in southern Spain. Trained as a psychologist, during his university studies he began to become interested in art and began his artistic training by creating his first abstract works. He has held solo and group exhibitions, and his works are available in galleries in his region.

In the artist’s universe, color becomes language and geometry becomes emotion. His abstract works celebrate the harmony between the structured and the intuitive, through compositions built with vibrant blocks, rhythmic patterns, and lines that dance between order and chaos.

Each piece is a visual mosaic, an exploration of textures and forms that invite the viewer to discover personal narratives within the seemingly random.

The color palette, bold and contrasting, inspired by the colors of southern Spain, awakens the gaze and transforms the everyday into art.

Inspired by the spirit of collage and the geometric abstraction of the 20th century, these works present themselves as emotional maps of the present: imperfect, fragmented, but full of intention. A visual experience that does not seek to represent, but to evoke.
