Description from the seller
This work comes from the Tropiques 93 series.
This bridge is a link between urban constructions and nature, but also symbolically a link between two worlds: the tranquility of a suburban area and the noise and speed of a road and commercial zone.
Born in 1979, she lives and works at the edge of the world opposite a beach – Plougonvelin, Finistère Nord.
After earning a Baccalauréat in Applied Arts in 1997, she did not pursue formal artistic studies and turned toward social professions.
But the practice of drawing and painting caught up with her, and in 2019 she decided to devote most of her time to her artistic practice.
Always drawn to what people do not want to see—urban landscapes, industrial wastelands—she began by painting series largely in acrylic. Colorful urban landscapes where nature intermingles. Recently, her artistic practice has diversified into modeling and other 3D objects, as well as photography and sound recording.
My artistic work dives into the heart of landscapes, whether shaped by human hands or left to nature’s evolution.
The observation I make after various landscape research and in-situ encounters: the landscape is always shaped by human hands, but it is also a construction in its representation in art: the invention of perspective guides our gaze regarding the landscape.
My artistic approach questions the relationship between humans and their environment. How do human technical abilities transform a natural landscape? How does nature develop without intervention? What is our physical, intimate connection to these places? How does our gaze apprehend these spaces?
My work is built in series, around geographic points identified by their GPS coordinates. Each work is a sensory reconstruction of the place, where I collect clues—colors, shapes, geometries, natural elements, sound atmospheres—to convey a global vision of these landscapes and the atmosphere experienced on site. I use various techniques, materials, and media for this: paintings, drawings, modeling, photographs, screen prints, watercolors.
"The situational visuals are AI visualizations based on photographs of the real object. The photographs of the real object are authoritative."
Canvas sent rolled in a tube without a frame.
