Description from the seller
Moorteich with flying ducks
Oil on structured painting board, signed and dated “H Isensee 70”
WORK
A North German moor landscape in autumn: a quiet watercourse winds between reed banks into depth, on the left and right groups of trees in green, orange and red; on the horizon a blue treeline under a high cloudy sky. Two mallards take off. Heavily painted, with short, brisk brushstrokes in the foliage and reeds, the water smooth with reflections.
Technique: Oil on hardboard with a woven texture
Image size: 55.2 x 69.6 cm
Frame size: 65.5 x 80.5 x 4.5 cm
Framed weight: approx. 2.3 kg
Signature: bottom left in dark color “H Isensee 70” (1970). The painter is not identified further; we name the person as it appears on the painting, without attribution to a specific individual. From the same hand we know of a caricature that was framed in Hanover – the painter was probably active in the Hanover/Braunschweig area.
Verso: without inscription.
CONDITION
Good condition. Paint layer closed, no cracks or losses visible. Surface lightly dusty, not cleaned, not restored. Back of the board with an old water stain at the bottom right, not visible from the front.

Hanging: a single eyelet at the top center of the frame. Please check before hanging and replace if necessary.
