Bronze sculpture after Milo (1910–1978) on a black marble plinth, signed and bearing the Bronze Garanti Paris – J.B. Déposée mark, with a dark patina and warm bronze highlights.
AI-assisted summary
Description from the seller
Impressive and atmospheric bronze sculpture after Milo, depicting a woman in a restrained, almost protective pose.
The powerful curved body stance, the long hair and the richly detailed drapery give the sculpture a lot of emotion and character. The contrast between the smooth forms of the body and the rougher texture of the base creates a particularly lively overall impression.
The bronze has a deep dark patina with warmer bronze accents on the higher-lying parts. This makes the shapes, folds and details stand out beautifully.
The work bears the signature “Milo” (after) and also carries a circular bronze marking with the text “Bronze Garanti Paris – J.B. Déposée”.
The sculpture sits on an elegant black marble/stone plinth, allowing it to be presented directly as a luxury art object.
An expressive and decorative artwork that fits excellently in both modern, classical and eclectic interiors.
