Description from the seller

Lawrence Starkey, is an Australian Artist who has become one of the finest artists in the world, working in the Photorealist or Hyper-realist genres. From the beginning of his career, his excellent skill was evident and garnered enthusiastic recognition amongst Collectors. His paintings are in Private and Corporate Collections worldwide. Born in 1959, he has exhibited his Artworks in America, Australia and Japan. He spent some time in America, but now lives and works in his native Australia.
His attention to detail and dedication to portraying the spirit and the power in his work is exceptional.
In the early 1980's, I was his Art Dealer and purchased three of his paintings at Exhibitions in Western Queensland, Australia.
The method used: Firstly, the paint is placed on the palette and allowed to dry. When a skin is formed, Lawrence 'feathers' the dry paint onto the surface of the artwork. This technique denies the visual evidence of any brush strokes, producing an exceptional flawless finish.

It is an honour to own one of his paintings and to daily witness the expertise and exquisite finish portrayed in his work.
