3 vintage religious and folklore objects - Villeroy & Boch, St. Jos Venlo & Pilgrim Flask
Beautiful varied set of three vintage objects with a religious and folkloric character. Perfect for the collector of devotional items or vintage European curiosa. The lot consists of the following three items:
1. Art Deco Figurine of Mary with Child - St. Jos Venlo (Model 1063) - Plaster - Approx. 1930-1950. Lovely, monochrome room-white/ivory appearance with soft shading in the folds of the garment. This slender, streamlined design is typical of Art Deco influences from the early to mid-20th century.
Material: Plaster / Composite
Origin: Netherlands (made by the renowned atelier Sint Josef in Venlo)
Features: On the back stamped with "Namaak Verboden - Made in Holland". On the base the model number "St. JOS. V. 1063". Beautiful serene expression with subtle patina.
2. Goebel - Wall vase / water vessel "Enzian" (Model number: VP 420) -
Period: 1950 - 1955 (TMK-2 Full Bee era) Germany
Material: Glazed earthenware / fine ceramic Vintage Goebel Heart Wall Pocket Flowers Edelweiss Germany Bee
Manufacturer: Goebel Porzellanfabrik (Germany)
Color: Deep red, blue, green, yellow
Dimensions: approx. 9 x 9.5 cm
3. Woven Pilgrim’s Flask / Holy water bottle
Material: Glass, reed/wicker and wood
Features: Authentic glass bottle wrapped with fine wicker and provided with a handy carrying handle. The bottle is closed with the original red-painted wooden stopper in the shape of a cross on cork. Ideal as a decorative object. It is a typical religious souvenir—often taken as a pilgrimage souvenir from sites such as Lourdes and Fatima to store and transport holy water.
