Superb carafe by René Lalique, model “Cactus,” in colorless pressed-molded glass, a design created in 1934 and not continued after 1947. The body, bell-shaped, is of great purity of line, typical of the Art Deco aesthetic. The stopper is the standout detail of the piece: a relief motif of spines highlighted with small black dots, evoking a cactus and giving the whole piece a lot of character.

Signed R. Lalique France. Stopper numbered 12.

Superbe carafe de René Lalique, modèle « Cactus », en verre moulé-pressé incolore, modèle créé en 1934 non continué après 1947. Le corps, en forme de cloche, est d'une grande pureté de ligne, typique de l'esthétique Art déco. Le bouchon est le détail remarquable de la pièce : un motif de pointes en relief rehaussées de petits points noirs, qui évoque un cactus et donne beaucoup de caractère à l'ensemble.
