AI-assisted summary
Description from the seller
These are three spermathecae that house three varieties of cereals (barley, oats, maize) belonging to a botanical/agronomic collection curated by the F.lli Ingegnoli botanical-agricultural establishment in Milan. Thick glass cylinders with a sealed aluminum cap; height 30 cm, diameter 9 cm.
They were part of the collection of the 'Ambulant Chair of Agriculture' established in Piacenza in May 1897, on the initiative of the Piacenza Agricultural Consortium, chaired by Giacomo Riva.
