Gaetano Lete (XX-XXI) - Gesù alla colonna

Jesus at the Column – Master Gaetano Lete

The painting depicts Christ at the column, marked by the wounds of the flagellation. The intense light highlights the body and the suffering face of Jesus, creating a strong contrast with the executioner who emerges from the dark background. The palette of warm, deep tones and the delicate play of chiaroscuro confer on the work a strong dramatic and spiritual intensity.
