This contemporary Portuguese ceramic watering can, dating from 2000–2010, has hand-painted stripes in multicoloured tones.
Description from the seller
Discreetly charming, born from a rare collaboration between Van Cleef & Arpels and the Parisian botanical workshop. By Charlot, this ceramic watering can was created as an exclusive gift for selected clients.
Not available through traditional sales channels, this type of piece sits at a more intimate level of luxury, designed to accompany a lifestyle rather than be bought directly.
Made in a soft, matte ceramic with vertical hand-painted stripes in warm and cool tones of ochre, citrus yellow, sage green, and terracotta, the form is both sculptural and playful. The proportions are carefully balanced, with a slightly curved spout and a built-in handle that give almost an architectural impression in its simplicity.
Marked discreetly underneath “par charlot pour Van Cleef & Arpels – Made in Portugal,” it carries both the refinement of French design sensibility and the craftsmanship of European ceramic tradition.
Whether used as intended, as a vase or styled as an object on a shelf or table, it brings a sense of lightness and quiet luxury.
