Repos sur le sable mouillé, a contemporary original acrylic painting from France, created from 2020 onward.
Description from the seller
- Resting on Wet Sand - 100 x 81 cm, original work by JP Douchez entirely handmade on canvas, this piece is not a print or giclée and was not AI-generated. Wooden frame 24 mm thick. Signed, initialed on the back with certificate of authenticity by the artist. Sold unframed. Original and unique work rich in texture, painted with a paint knife.
My work identifies as expressionist, figurative, with landscapes, the coast, that place where land and sea meet as its preferred subject, and where I take interpretive liberties and let my impressions flow freely. The colors are applied in a generous impasto. The choice of the knife simplifies the forms and gives strength and energy to the canvas.
In Europe, my works, largely acquired by private collectors, are present in galleries and auction houses.
The canvas is protected with bubble wrap along with its invoice. The package is shipped via carrier depending on destination: La Poste or UPS.
