Viña El Pisón 2023 - Artadi

It is Artadi's most emblematic single-vineyard wine. 100% Tempranillo from 2.4 hectares in Laguardia - Rioja Alavesa, planted in 1945 by grandfather Jenaro on deep clay-limestone soil, at an altitude of 540m. Ecological/biodynamic viticulture, hand harvest, 6,000 bottles.

It is a powerful yet subtle wine, with an elegant texture, sweet but firm tannins and great persistence. With lots of dark fruit, minerality, licorice and a touch of spice. Very fine and perfumed for a Tempranillo from Álava.

A year cooler than 2022, which gives it more finesse and freshness. Vinification in an open wooden vat with cold maceration 24-48h and fermentation 10-12 days. Malolactic fermentation and aging in 600L demi-muids.
