Rated Excellent on Trustpilot.
A four-armed sculptural candelabra, model Candelabra, designed by Charles Wilson for Menu (Denmark) in the Scandinavian design style, circa 2000–2010, made of zinc alloy with a silver finish, formed by two magnetically connected parts that create a cross when assembled, measuring 18.5 cm high, 43 cm wide, 43 cm deep, and weighing 1,230 g, suitable for four dinner candles; in excellent used condition with minor wear and no cracks.
Description from the seller
Special sculptural four-armed candlestick, model Candelabra, designed by Australian designer Charles Wilson for the Danish design label MENU.
The candlestick consists of two separate, organically shaped parts that are centrally connected by a powerful hidden magnet. After assembly, an elegant cross shape with four candle holders is formed, carried by slender legs.
The design was presented in 2005 and was awarded an Australian Design Award in 2007. A recognizable example of modern Scandinavian design, combining a minimalist form with an ingenious construction.
The object is clearly marked on the bottom:
“menu – Design: Charles Wilson”
Executed in heavy cast metal with a high-gloss silver-colored finish.
Condition
The candlestick is in good used condition. There are light superficial scratches, polish marks, and locally light wear/discoloration around the connection and candle holders. These signs are mainly visible up close and are consistent with age and normal use.
No cracks or noticeable deformations visible. The two parts are centrally connected by the original magnetic construction.
Carefully view the detailed photos; they form an important part of the condition description.
Dimensions
Height: approx. 18.5 cm
Width: approx. 43.5 cm
Depth: approx. 43.5 cm
Weight: approx. 1,230 g
