Alain; Baruch Spinoza; Karl Marx - Bibliothèque de la Pléiade – Ensemble de 6 volumes - 1964-1969

Very beautiful set of 6 volumes from the Bibliothèque de la Pléiade – Gallimard, devoted to three major figures of philosophy and thought: Alain, Spinoza, and Karl Marx.

The set includes:

- Alain – The Passions and Wisdom, 1964
- Alain – The Arts and the Gods, 1965
- Alain – Propos, 1967
- Spinoza – Complete Works, 1969, former edition presented and annotated by Roland Caillois, Madeleine Francès and Robert Misrahi
- Karl Marx – Works, Economy I, 1969, edition established by Maximilien Rubel
- Karl Marx – Works, Economy II, 1968, edition established by Maximilien Rubel

Old editions of the famous Pléiade collection, printed on Bible paper, flexible leather bindings with gilded decorations and titles.

The 6 volumes have their original dust jackets. Only one jacket shows a slight browning from age; the others are very well preserved.

Excellent overall condition. The bindings are particularly beautiful, the gilding is very fresh, and the interiors are in excellent condition, clean and very well preserved.

A homogeneous and especially decorative ensemble bringing together 3 volumes by Alain, the two complementary Karl Marx volumes on Economics and the old edition of Spinoza’s Complete Works.
