Description from the seller

AMA • Pope (1985) - "Aurora Nova" - LOUIS VUITTON - 8/20

In line with the original luminous works of the Aurora Borealis collection, discover "Aurora Nova", a hand-customized pop luminous sculpture in a limited edition of 20 copies for 2025, themed around the French haute couture house Louis Vuitton (this is not an official brand object).

A strong, minimalist and contemporary sculptural presence: the elegant mirror ball attracts the eye when off, then reveals, once illuminated, an intense and hypnotic light explosion at its core.

The iconic LV monogram, suspended at the center of the sphere, becomes the focal point of the piece. It seems to float in a vibrant luminous universe, creating a spectacular and instantly recognizable visual effect.

Aurora Nova embodies a pure and confident vision of light: a strong, direct, immersive light signature, conceived as a true contemporary pop artwork.

- LED ball lamp with mirror effect
- Simple and immediate switch-on
- Intense signature lighting (see photos)

Lamp in limited edition, numbered, signed and delivered with authenticity certificate "AMA".
Fast and careful shipping (bubble wrap, tissue paper and cardboard) with signature on delivery.

Who is Pope?

Pope, co-founder of the AMA collective, develops a singular artistic universe driven by a practice of visual arts since childhood, a high standard of detail and meticulous visual research.
Through sculptures, paintings and installations, he draws inspiration from photography, urban landscapes and everyday scenes, with a sensitive and awed gaze, attentive to both the simplicity and the complexity of the world around him.

Pope mainly draws inspiration from the surrounding world but also from currents of renowned artists such as Banksy, Keith Haring, Koons, Orlinski, Takashi, Fred Allart, Shepard Fairey, Warhol, Yayoi Kusama, Richard Hamilton, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Alec Monopoly, KAWS, Pantone, Mr. Brainwash, Blek le Rat, to name a few.

Whether it’s a gift, a keepsake, or your personal collection of contemporary art, you will easily find your favorite piece thanks to the diversity of our works. Indeed, Pope pursues his urban art passion through street art (streetart) and pop art (popart) (in limited or non-limited editions), addressing a wide range of themes such as cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin, Ethereum), the dollar, money, gold, wealth, the sex industry, drug abuse, luxury brands and haute couture, the world of comics and video games, the pharmaceutical industry and medicines, recycling and upcycling, agro-food and fashion industry products (sport, sneakers, …).

Brands guide our choices and often our lives without us realizing it. Aware of this impact, Pope enjoys slyly distorting labels such as Louis Vuitton (LV), Chanel, Dior, Hermès, Prada, Gucci, Rolex, Yves Saint Laurent (YSL), Supreme, Obey, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG, Mercedes, Nike (Air Jordan), Adidas (Stan Smith), Coca Cola, Pepsi, Marvel and Avengers (Batman, Joker, Superman...), Disney (Mickey, Scrooge McDuck...), Nintendo, Sega, Tintin, Lego, Pokemon, Vans and many others.

Dear bidders, our collective makes every effort to ensure that all information necessary to evaluate the lot is clearly detailed in the listing: dimensions, weight, description and photos... After the sale, no justified claim will be considered. Thank you for your understanding.
