About the Artwork:

“Sunset Over Maui” presents a luminous coastal scene beneath an expansive coral and pink sky. Warm peach tones gather near the low horizon, while a group of pale, flat white clouds stretches across the open sky. Their slender shapes introduce a gentle horizontal rhythm above the deep blue sea, giving the evening light a spacious, unhurried presence.

Bands of blue, turquoise and white suggest waves moving towards the shore. Broken edges and layered marks create a lively surface in the water, where bright passages of foam meet darker lines. Below, charcoal, muted brown and peach tones form a textured beach that anchors the composition. The small clouds offer a quieter echo of the sea’s horizontal movement.

In its 50 × 70 cm portrait format, the painting brings warmth and coastal atmosphere to an interior. The vivid sky catches the eye immediately, while the clouds, surf and shoreline invite a closer look at their individual shapes and surface variations."
