Who is Mr. Z?
Richard Zielenkiewicz, known by the pseudonym Mr. Z, is a famous French illustrator and graphic designer. Son of an architect, he is passionate about 20th-century architecture, as well as the American Way of Life of the 1950s.
He works as art director for advertising, then pursues work in publishing. He creates several animated TV series such as Jet Groove and Ratz, broadcast on France 2 and the children’s channel Gulli. He participates in the production of advertisements, on television or in magazines, in France and in other countries: L’Oréal, Air France, BMW, Swiss Delice coffee, Guess, Monoprix…
Having become independent, Mr. Z creates colorful, clean illustrations inspired by design, architecture, and the styles from the 30s to the 70s. He has collaborated with numerous destinations such as St Tropez, Hyères, Chamonix, Cannes, Paris, Corsica, Toulon, the Côte d’Azur, and many more…!
