Who is Mr. Z?
Richard Zielenkiewicz, known by the pseudonym Mr. Z, is a famous French illustrator and graphic designer. Born to an architect, he is passionate about 20th-century architecture, as well as the American Way of Life of the 1950s.
He works as an art director for advertising, then works in the press. He creates several animated TV series such as Jet Groove and Ratz, broadcast on France 2 and the children’s channel Gulli. He participates in the production of advertisements, on TV or in magazines, in France and in other countries: L’Oréal, Air France, BMW, Swiss Delice coffee, Guess, Monoprix…
Having gone freelance, Mr. Z creates colorful, streamlined illustrations inspired by design, architecture and styles from the 1930s to the 1970s. He has collaborated with many destinations such as St Tropez, Hyères, Chamonix, Cannes, Paris, Corsica, Toulon, the French Riviera, and many more..!
