Limoges - Serving dish (9) - Porcelain

Set of 7 antique serving pieces.

It is quite common with old pieces for there to be no mark, which often means that the pieces were manufactured by a secondary factory to be hand-painted, Limoges or Foëcy. The style remains typical of porcelain from the Art Deco era or retro 1920s, with this pattern of roses and violets and green with gold leaf edging.

Here is its composition:
1 large soup tureen H 25 cm with its lid D 22.5 cm.
1 vegetable dish (légumier) H 20 cm with its lid D 20.5 cm.
3 compotes H 13 cm, H 10 cm, H 10 cm; D 24 cm, 22.5 cm, and 22 cm.
1 round plate D 28 cm H 5 cm.
1 oval plate L 37 cm l 25 cm H 5 cm. There is a bit of gilding worn off with time.

The pieces are about one hundred years old, with no cracks or chips; please view the photos for more details.
