Gino Centoni – Landscape, first half of the 20th century
Oil on panel by Gino Centoni (Livorno, 1891–1960), painter active in the Livorno art milieu of the first half of the century.

The work depicts a bright Tuscan landscape, with a road leading to a building immersed in vegetation. The composition is built through synthetic and immediate painting, with broad brushstrokes and a luminous palette dominated by the blues of the sky, the yellows and ochers of the architectures, and the greens and browns of the vegetation. The handling of light and the setting of the view place it within the tradition of Livorno landscape painting of the 20th century.

The work is presented within an antique gilded frame, richly moulded.

Conditions: the work is in generally good condition, compatible with its age. The frame shows normal signs of time and use.
