AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

ABOUT THE PAINTING:

The painting was inspired by priest Bronislavas Paltanavičius’s 1992 account of a journey aboard a flying saucer. The composition depicts the priest climbing a ladder towards the craft. Below stands the church in Kaimelis where he served.

This is an artistic interpretation of the priest’s story, bringing together faith, personal experience and cosmic mystery.

ABOUT THE ARTIST:

I am Paulius, an independent artist exploring human nature, spirituality and our relationship with the world through painting, performance, installations and interdisciplinary projects.

I live and work surrounded by nature, with my studio in the centre of the Vepriai meteorite crater in Lithuania. The landscape, its geological history and its connection to the cosmos influence my creative practice. My work brings together spiritual exploration and social themes, inviting viewers to form their own interpretations.

I hold a Master’s degree in Arts and was granted official artist status by the Ministry of Culture of Lithuania in 2014. I have presented over 60 solo exhibitions, installations and performances, and participated in more than 70 group exhibitions, plein-air events and collaborative projects with Lithuanian and international artists.
