Spanning over 80 hectares, Château Pontet-Canet is one of the largest vineyards in the Bordeaux region. Classified as a Fifth Growth in 1855, it is now recognized as one of the greatest wines of Pauillac, located on the Left Bank. Taking over the estate in 1994, Alfred Tesseron succeeded his father, Guy Tesseron, and led the property through a profound transformation, an unprecedented revolution: Château Pontet-Canet became the first major Bordeaux estate to embrace organic and biodynamic farming. Among the Classified Growths, it was the first to obtain dual certification for its entire vineyard. A testament to this family effort, carried out with the support of the estate manager at the time, Jean-Michel Comme, Robert Parker awarded Château Pontet-Canet the coveted 100/100 score in both 2009 and 2010.
